Course Highlights
“Genetic Algorithm and MATLAB Implementation” is a two-day course that presents the concepts of genetic algorithm and its implementation in MATLAB. Fundamental topics of genetic algorithm will be illustrated, ranging from the key concepts of genetic algorithm, Evolutionary Programming to implementation of genetic algorithm using MATLAB. Hands-on demonstration and exercises are vital element of the course, with heavy emphasis on practical applications of genetic algorithm. The ultimate aim of this course is to instill full appreciation of the capability of MATLAB and the Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolbox for the implementation of genetic algorithm.

The prerequisites for this course are Comprehensive MATLAB, and experience with basic computer operations. Having a basic knowledge of genetic algorithm related concepts would be a plus.
